At Dynamic Concept, we design and develop custom mechanical equipment for complex and innovative projects. Our work is multidisciplinary, strongly focused on process automation and the integration of industrial robots, within an industry undergoing significant transformation.

Here, the engineer holds a central role: defining technical solutions, making key design decisions, and seeing concepts come to life from design to manufacturing, all the way to on-site installation, in Canada and internationally.

Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, you will be involved in unique, high-value technical projects, with a high level of autonomy and real influence on technical decisions.

You will be responsible for

• Leading the mechanical design of custom products and equipment
• Defining, analyzing, and evolving technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborating closely with electrical, automation, and robotics teams
• Guiding and supporting designers in design decision-making
• Performing sizing and validation calculations
• Reviewing and approving engineering drawings
• Participating in the mechanical integration of automated, multidisciplinary systems
• Contributing to cost analyses, technical studies, and R&D activities
• Maintaining close ties with manufacturing and on-site activities to ensure realistic and high-performance solutions
• Participating in continuous improvement and the evolution of engineering standards

Profile We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec – OIQ)
• Approximately 7–10 years of experience
• Strong interest in designing and developing custom-engineered solutions
• High level of technical rigor, autonomy, and ability to solve complex problems
• Comfortable in a multidisciplinary, automation-oriented environment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks: an asset

Due to an international clientele, bilingualism in French and English is required

Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the Mechanical Designer is responsible for designing industrial machines and equipment while ensuring technical quality, compliance with manufacturing standards, and collaboration with project teams.

Responsabilities

• Perform preliminary design studies, including tolerancing and mechanical clearances based on standard manufacturing methods
• Design various industrial machines and equipment
• Produce fabrication drawings and layouts
• Select appropriate components
• Review drawings
• Generate bills of materials
• Follow up on manufacturing
• Conduct site and plant visits and take measurements (occasionally)
• Plan and participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and safety reviews
• Perform any other related tasks

Required Skills

• DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training
• 3 to 5 years of experience
• Any combination of training and experience will be considered
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Due to an international client base, bilingualism (French/English) is required
